Our goal
We want everyone to be able to plan a Mardi Gras with us. We build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- We design every page to work with a keyboard. Each starts with a “Skip to Content” link and shows a visible focus outline.
- We check text color contrast against the AA level, and we keep body text at 16 pixels or larger at every screen width.
- Moving video can be paused, and the site stops decorative motion when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The Mardi Gras Made EZ story film on our home page has captions.
- Every form field has a label, and errors are described in words beside the field.
What we know is not yet right
- The two parade films on our parade page play on YouTube, and their captions and controls are YouTube’s.
- Balcony Hopper payment happens on Stripe’s secure checkout page, and the contact form’s anti-spam check is Cloudflare’s. We do not control how those pages and widgets work.
- Some older photos in our gallery exist only at a small size.
